Every day, displaced women, refugees and asylum seekers, place their trust in SAO to help them overcome challenges and rebuild their lives. By donating today, you can support their journey towards safety, empowerment and inclusion.
Your donation enables us to cover the daily expenses of our Day Centres, Bashira on Lesvos and Amina in Athens, and keeps our spaces warm in the winter and cool in the summer. You can also support us to provide essential services, such as food, clothing, warm showers, free access to washing machines, psychosocial support and the Greek lessons provided in the context of non-formal education.

How your donation helps women in need
Your financial support directly impacts the lives of refugee and asylum-seeking women.

€30 could cover 1 monthly supermarket coupon, allowing women to purchase essential items. The women prefer coupons over donated items because they understand their household needs best.

€50 could fund 5 hourly consultations with either a social worker or a psychologist in our Day Centres.

€160 could cover the cost of fruits for one week, offered to every woman and her children who visit our centres.

€480 could provide washing powder for 1 year to women who use our washing machines.

€1,100 could cover the cost of Arabic, Farsi and French cultural mediation and interpretation services for 5 days across both Day Centres.

€2,000 could fund our informal Greek language programme for 1 month, including running costs, supplies and books.

In-kind donations
Your company, your foundation or your expertise can play a significant role in helping us deliver high quality services to displaced women in Athens and on Lesvos.
Free services, such as facility or equipment maintenance and administrative support, or the donation of office supplies and equipment help us reduce operating costs at our Day Centres, Amina and Bashira.
