AMINA CENTRE ATHENS
Amina is a place where women can interact by participating in both organised and informal activities. This SAO empowerment centre serves as a focal point whereby women are encouraged to further develop their individual identities, discover or cultivate their skills and competencies, commence an educational path, and engage with group of other women who represent different cultures but share similar experiences and have to overcome similar obstacles.
SELF SUFFICIENCY
Amina offers solutions, materials and equipment that provide an economical sustainable alternative to buying new things. Sewing machines, tools and fabric are a few of the things available so that women can create, alter, fix, teach and learn. These processes can be experienced as strongly empowering and give women back a sense of self-determination.
